| Equipment

| 1. |
College
equipment purchased with state funds is intended
to be used by the college and not for personal
use. If workloads require the use of college
equipment outside the college and beyond regular
working hours, the college administration
may approve the use of off campus college
equipment. The person signing for the equipment
is responsible if the equipment is lost or
damaged. |
Shops and Labs |
| 1. |
Use
of shops or labs must have the approval of
the college administration and will not interfere
with the instructional program. |
| 2. |
Authorized
users of shops/labs must provide their own
materials, be responsible for damages/replacement,
and leave the shop/lab as they found it. |
College Vehicles |
| 1. |
College
owned vehicles are to be used for official
college business only. |
| 2. |
Primary
use of the college van is for transport of
three or more and no more than seven at one
time, faculty and /or staff to and from meetings,
seminars, etc. |
| 3. |
Faculty
and staff operating a college vehicle must
possess the appropriate valid driver's license. |
| 4. |
Students
may operate college vehicles in emergencies
or with prior administrative approval in cases
of extenuating circumstances. Students operating
college vehicles shall be accompanied by an
SCC staff or faculty member who shall be responsible
for the vehicle. |

If
an accident occurs involving a college vehicle,
procedures should be followed as outlined
in Emergency Medical
Procedures - 3.16.1, of the Southwestern
Community College Policies and Procedures
Manual. |
| 6. |
College
vehicles shall be used at the discretion of
the President. |
| 7. |
The
college van may be scheduled and checked out
through the office of the Vice President for
Administrative Services. |
