Southwestern Community College - Policies and Procedures Manual
Policy Title: Employment Agreements 4.5
Responsible Division: Administrative Services

All Employment agreements are subject to adequate funding.

Staff – Exempt
  Exempt staff employment agreements will normally be issued for the fiscal year. Employment agreements may be issued for periods of less than twelve (12) months, based upon length of service required by the college.

Faculty – Exempt
  Faculty employment agreements will be for the academic year. Employment agreements may include supplements for additional summer terms.

Non-Exempt Employees
  Non-exempt employee employment agreements will normally be issued for the fiscal year.

Probationary Status
  Full-time employee employment agreements and employment considered at-will for the first twelve (12) months of employment shall be probationary.

Part-Time Employees
  Part-time staff will normally be issued a letter of employment.
Part-time faculty will be issued an agreement for their assigned course.
