The Veterans Administration provides a program of financial assistance for education and training of veterans and reservists who meet the federal criteria. Curriculum programs are approved by the State Approving Agency.

Applications for VA educational benefits should be made through the Registrar’s Office at SCC at least one month prior to enrollment in classes. Applicants must submit an copy of DD214 (discharge paper) if applicable, an official high school/GED transcript, and official transcripts from previous colleges or military programs. A veteran’s transcript(s) must be on file and evaluated before he/she can be certified for veteran’s benefits.

When a veteran enrolls, the student must pursue the exact curriculum listed and approved and must maintain satisfactory academic progress, attendance, and conduct for continuing eligibility for payments.
