Southwestern
Community College is committed to the philosophy
that no eligible student be denied access
to higher education due to a lack of financial
resources. |
| 2. |
Financial
aid is awarded on the basis of need. In determining
the student's need, it is assumed that the
student will help himself through summer and
part-time employment, and that the family
will provide assistance in an amount proportionate
to its income and assets. |
| 3. |
In
order to receive federal assistance, a student
must be a citizen or permanent resident of
the United States, be enrolled in a curriculum,
and be making satisfactory progress. |
| 4. |
Requirements
for receiving financial aid and making satisfactory
progress are outlined in the catalog and student
handbook. Details regarding types of financial
assistance are available from the financial
aid office. |
