The purpose
of Phi Theta Kappa shall be
to recognize and encourage
scholarship among two-year
college students.
To achieve this purpose, Phi
Theta Kappa shall provide
opportunity for the development
of leadership and service,
for an intellectual climate
for exchange of ideas and
ideals, for lively fellowship
of scholars, and for stimulation
of interest in continuing
academic excellence.
To be eligible for membership
in the Alpha Eta Nu chapter
of Southwestern Community
College, a student must: |

Be enrolled in a two-year
degree-seeking curriculum.

Be a full-time student.
|
| • |
Achieve a cumulative grade
point average of at least
3.5 in his or her curriculum
for two consecutive terms.

Be nominated by a faculty
member or advisor for displaying
good citizenship and leadership
abilities. |
