NC Law Enforcement In-Service Training Online

IN-SERVICE Training Requirements from the NC Criminal Justice and Sheriffs’ Education and Training Standards Commission: The In-service NC law enforcement officer training requirements, as outlined in the NC Administrative Code, requires that every police officer certified by the NC Criminal Justice and Training Standards Commission and deputy sheriff certified by NC Sheriff Education and Training Standards Commission complete 24-hours of in-service training annually. The topics for this requirement are outlined in the Code and include but are not limited to the following for 2008: Legal Update, Juvenile Minority Sensitivity, Career Survival, Response to Critical Incidents, Firearms Training and Qualification, and departmental choice. SCC will work with all agencies to meet these training requirements. Please call the PSTC at 828.369.0591, for additional information.

REQUIREMENTS
Internet connection (suggested DSL or higher connection as dial up may timeout), Microsoft Office (Word & PowerPoint). Basic computer knowledge in Internet navigation, Word, and PowerPoint.

Registration required one week prior to beginning date of class. To register chose class date and complete online registration form. Once registration is complete students will be contacted by email with information about logging into Moodle. Class size limited to 40 students. If class is full student will be notified and enrolled in next available class.
