READ THIS BEFORE YOU COMPLETE
YOUR APPLICATION FOR NC RESIDENCY
|
| • |
Must submit a completed
residency application form
that can be obtained in the
Registrar’s Office,
Admissions, or downloaded
from the bottom of this page. |
| • |
Proof of residency must
be provided along with the
residency application. Some
examples of proof of residency
are as follows:
| · |
A copy of North
Carolina driver’s
license |
| · |
A copy of North
Carolina income tax
return |
| · |
Proof of registered
vehicle with the state
of North Carolina |
|
IMPORTANT
NOTE: |
| If the individual
does not
have a valid North Carolina
driver’s license or
was unemployed during the
previous year and did not
file taxes; they may submit
a copy of their lease, property
tax, car registration, bank
statements, or copies of power
or phone bills to prove residency.
|
| No one piece
of documentation, however,
justifies proof of in-state
residency. |
| Regardless
of acquired North Carolina
documentation, individuals
who are being claimed on their
parent’s taxes who are
residents of other states
are ineligible for in-state
residency. |
