SACS Liaison to visit campus November 21, 2005

Dr. Michel Johnson, Associate Executive Director for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, who is Southwestern's official SACS liaison, will be on campus Monday, November 21, 2005, for a series of meetings to review the status of Southwestern's reaccreditation efforts.

While here Johnson will meet with the Compliance Team, QEP Team, and the SACS Leadership Team to ensure we are on target with our work. Let me take this opportunity to draw your attention to some key dates ahead:

Southwestern received its initial accreditation by SACS in 1970. The reaffirmation of our accreditation occurs every ten years. Again, this is an important process/event in the history of the college.
