institution evaluates the effectiveness of its administrators,
including the chief executive officer (the president),
on an annual basis. College policy (1)
and procedure (2)

annually.
This
annual evaluation of the president is required by the
North Carolina Administrative Code (3).
The evaluation is conducted at the spring meeting of
the Board of Trustees (4)
using a form developed for this purpose (5).
The state Board of Community Colleges is notified in
writing upon completion of the evaluation (6).
College
policy (1)
and procedure (2)
require that administrators be evaluated annually by
the immediate supervisor. The Office of Human Resources
oversees the administration and documentation of the
evaluation process (7).The
staff evaluation form incorporates the specific responsibilities
of each job description as well as additional criteria
related to effectiveness. Completed evaluation forms
for administrators are filed in individual personnel
files in the Office of Human Resources (8).
