“In
order for an Associate’s Degree to be awarded,
(a) A minimum of 25 percent of total coursework, and
(b) A minimum of 25 percent of required major courses
in the degree program must be completed in residence
at Southwestern Community College.”
Academic
advisors and the Registrar’s Office verify that
potential graduates meet credit-in-residence requirements.
A student submits a Commencement Application where the
advisor indicates that the student has met the residence
requirement. The registrar processes the application
and also verifies from the transcript that the student
has met the credit-in-residence criteria for the award
of the degree (3).
