Narrative: The recruitment of students into curriculum and Continuing Education courses and programs focuses on presenting accurate and timely information in a variety of formats that are designed to maximize the College’s exposure with the public. Recruitment materials also reflect the College’s mission and goals. Publications for distribution off-campus, according to College policy and marketing plan, are designed by the appropriate offices in cooperation with the graphic artist in the Public Information Office and reviewed by the Public Information officer for accuracy (1).

Curriculum
The College publishes a view book (2), Catalog (3), Student Handbook & Planner (4), program flat sheets (5) and Career Focus magazine (6). Each semester, the College publishes a class schedule tabloid that is distributed via mail to box holders and placed in community distribution points in the three-county service area (7). Information from publications is published on the College’s web site. Display boards are used in public and school settings to provide general information pertaining to programs of study, tuition, and fees, and to provide students with views of the campus and its constituents. College fairs, career fairs, open houses and campus visits are all used to provide information to the public. Presentations made by the Admissions recruiter and faculty are designed around the published materials and highlight the distinctive characteristics of SCC. Accurate and relevant information is provided to prospective students on academic programs, student services, college life, and enrollment procedures, including Admissions, Financial Aid, and Registrar's Office policies.

Continuing Education
Quarterly, the College publishes a class and program schedule that lists all courses offered, costs, admission policies and procedures and the registration process (8). The schedule is mailed to everyone in the College’s service area. All information is published on the College’s web site (9).
