Director's
Message
Spring has sprung!
Each spring your Student Government Association (SGA) holds
their annual executive council elections. I encourage you
to exercise your right to vote. I hear there are some very
fine candidates running for office this year and I am happy
to say that two of our SSS participants are vying for an
executive spot. So, in light of the pending election, I
am going to shorten my message to allow Erik Carlson and
Rey Roberts a chance to introduce themselves to you. Please,
support Rey and Erik in their quest to serve you.

In
this Month's Spotlight - Brian Simonds
Brian
is in our spotlight this month. He is in the Massage Therapy
and Health Information Technology programs. His academic
goal is to achieve both degrees.
While
attending SCC, Brian has been inspired by Melissa McClure,
Penny Wells, Debra Klavohn, Marti Hunter, Judy Franklin,
and all his classmates in Massage Therapy and HIT.
Brian's
family includes his mother, three brothers and three sisters--wow,
SIX siblings! His personal interests include weight lifting,
reading, and bartending. Brian enjoys most outdoor sports,
hiking and exploring new things. Art and learning about
different cultures are other topics that intrigue Brian.
He
is a happy-go-lucky young man, who by the way is single
but looking. If you see Brian's smiling face, stop and say
hello. You will be in for quite a treat - he will make your
day!

"I
have learned this at least by my experiment: if one advances
confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors
to live the life he has imagined, he will meet with a success
