This year we have implimented spam filtering for all SCC student email accounts using our existing spam filtering system. This will save the college money and at the same time give the students the email filtering and antivirus features that faculty and staff enjoy. It will also give students the ability to manage their own spam filtering, or turn it off completely if they wish.

However, due to technical limitations, this will require that we separate the email domains, since students use a different email system than faculty and staff. It is due to this limitation that faculty and staff will receive separate emails regarding spam quarantine for the southwesterncc.edu and the southwest.cc.nc.us domains.
