| How to Login to the Blog Server |
| 1. Open your internet browser and type blogs.southwesterncc.edu in the address bar. |
| 2. This will open a welcome page and in the lower right hand corner you will see a Login link under the Meta Header. |

| 3. Click on this link and login with your Novell user name and password |
|
| 4. The Administrative Panel will load where you can start creating your blog. |
| |
| How to Write a Post : |
| 1. Click on the Write tab on the menu bar. |
 |
| 2. Then fill in the form for you blog. |
| |
Title:
The title of your post. You can use any words or phrases. Avoid using the same title twice as that will cause problems. |

Post Editing Area: The big blank box where you enter your writing, links, links to images, and any information you want to display on your site. You can use either the Visual or the HTML view to compose your posts. |

Preview this Post:
Allows you to see how your post will look before officially publishing it. |

Publish Status: Shows three states for the post: Published, Pending Review, and Unpublished. A Published status means the post has been published on your blog for all to see. Pending Review means the draft is waiting for review by someone else prior to publication. Unpublished means the post has not been published and remains a draft. If you select a specific publish status and then click the Save button, that status is applied to the post. |

Save: Allows you to save your post as a draft rather than immediately publishing it. To return to your drafts later, click the Manage tab, click the Drafts link that appears below the Manage Posts title, and then click your draft post. |
| 3.Then click on Publish to post the blog on your site. |

| How to Change Your Sites Look or Theme: |
| Click on the Presentation option on the menu bar and choose a look from the available themes. |

| How to view you Blog: |
You can view your blog from the Administrative Panel by click on view site in the upper left corner beside your name.

How can others view my Blog? |
| For others to view your blog give them your blog address which is "blogs.southwesterncc.edu/Novell User Name". For example: blogs.southwesterncc.edu/smasters. |
