The College Navigator role was developed as a collaborative initiative to better support student persistence by bridging the gap between a student’s initial aspirations and the complexities of higher education. The position was conceptualized through research for a new QEP and promptly implemented once that accreditation requirement was removed.
Navigators are dedicated to creating an environment where every student, particularly those from vulnerable populations, has the support needed to flourish. By fostering essential learning strategies, enhancing time-management skills, and facilitating access to campus resources, Navigators help students build the resilience and academic ownership required for long-term success. Navigators will proactively reach out to assigned students in their division, but welcome referrals via email if you identify as a student who needs extra support.
