Graduates of the 2-year Associate Degree Program may take the national AAMA certification examination to become a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). The examination is offered online at various testing centers. Scheduling information may be obtained from the AAMA website at www.aama-ntl.org
ACHIEVEMENT & OUTCOMES:
For the most recent reporting year (2020), SCC's Medical Assisting program has reported the following achievement and outcome percentages for 2018:
- The Medical Assisting Program has a current retention rate of 80%
- The Medical Assisting Program has a current job placement rate of 100%.
- The Medical Assisting Program has a current exam pass rate of 71.43%
- The Medical Assisting Program has a current graduation satisfaction rate of 100%
Exam Passage:
The Medical Assisting program has an exam pass rate of 73.33% average over the past five years.
Job Placement:
For 2018, 100% of the Medical Assisting graduates were working in the field.
