Sixty-five Southwestern Community College students were inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) on Dec. 10 at the college’s Jackson Campus.

The society aims to help students discover and achieve their life goals and leadership potential.

To become inducted, each student must hold a 3.00 GPA and participate in leadership training, work with fellow members and attend at least three speaking events.

“Every one of these students, as well as their family and friends, should be extremely proud,” said Dr. Belinda Petricek, who coordinates SCC’s NSLS chapter. She’s also the student services director for the college’s Macon Campus.

“These are our college’s student leaders, and they are poised to become leaders in our communities as well," Dr. Petricek added. “I look forward to working with them over the next few semesters of their college career.”
