Looking to pick up an extra college course this fall? Want to catch up after taking some time off? Consider an online, accelerated course through Southwestern Community College.

The following classes will be offered for our second fall session, which runs from Oct. 21- Dec. 17:
  • ACA 111-College Student Success
  • ACC 130-Business Income Taxes
  • COM 231-Public Speaking
  • ENG 111-Writing & Inquiry
  • HUM 230-Leadership Development
  • PSY 150-General Psychology
The accelerated format provides an opportunity for students who want to get ahead or who need to quickly
catch up on required courses for their programs.

“This is a great opportunity to enroll in classes this fall if you missed the registration deadline in August, are looking to add a course to your existing schedule or need a course to transfer to an institution where you are currently enrolled,” said Dr. Mark Ellison, Director of Enrollment Management. “It can help you get a step ahead on achieving your educational goals.”

Current Southwestern students, and students enrolled at SCC during the 2018-19 academic year, can contact their advisor to register.

All others will need to complete the online application for admission. Students who have not enrolled at SCC previously will need to submit one of the following for course placement (except for ACC 130 and ACA 111): SAT or ACT scores; a high school transcript; or a college transcript with a transferable English course.
