Outdoor Entrepreneurship Seminar Series starts Jan. 24 at SCC

SYLVA- The Outdoor industry is an economic powerhouse in Western North Carolina, which is why the Small Business Center at Southwestern Community College has developed a seminar series at no charge to help those in this competitive field.

Beginning Jan. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon, The Small Business Center will be hosting the first of a series of three seminars specifically for entrepreneurs in the outdoor industry.

“Whether you are an existing small business owner, or you are looking to start a business in the outdoor industry, this series is for you,” said Tiffany Henry, Director of Small Business Training. “Entrepreneurs will learn how to gain a competitive advantage, brand their business values and develop innovative systems of management.”

The other two seminars in the series will be on Jan. 31 and Feb. 7, both from 10 a.m. to noon.
