The Student Concerns Portal program allows SCC faculty and staff to identify students who are at risk and to initiate immediate intervention with the students as soon as problems are identified. This process enables SCC to track all contacts and intervention efforts and share information appropriately with the student and others who can help the student to be successful. Our goal is to improve student success.
Risks being monitored follow:
- Class attendance
- Class activities, such as failing tests, not completing assignments, poor writing skills, lack of participation, and overall quality of class work
- Other issues – in-class behavior, life issues, etc.
- Problems with Academic Dishonesty, cheating, or behavior – contact your supervisor immediately and place a report in retention alert
You can access Retention Alert by logging into MySCC, clicking on the Student Concerns tab, and then clicking on the Student Concerns access.
