What is Esports?
Esports, short for electronic sports, refers to competitive video gaming, where individuals or teams compete against each other in organized tournaments and leagues.
What does the Esports program look like at SCC?
Esports functions much like a traditional sports program. Teams will be formed and a regular season will take place over the course of each semester, capping off with a final tournament/playoffs.
There is an extensive list of eligible games that students can compete in, and there is no cap on the number of teams SCC can field.
All students are encouraged to come out and compete for SCC!
All of this is possible through the National Junior College Athletic Association Esports division (NJCAAE). Players will be competing against other 2-year institutions across the US.
