In an effort to help prospective and current students navigate the sometimes complex world of financial aid, Southwestern Community College has partnered with FATV to provide a number of informative online videos.
The FATV portal, which can be accessed from the college’s website at www.southwesterncc.edu/financial-aid, helps answer common questions while providing information that can be helpful when students are making educational plans.
“For anyone who’s been overwhelmed by the prospect of sifting through paperwork or surfing the Internet to find answers about how financial aid works, this portal simplifies everything,” said Melody Lawrence, financial aid director at SCC. “Our goal is to connect students with the resources they need to be successful, and FATV helps streamline that process.
“If someone’s looking for answers on the weekend or over the holidays when the college is closed, they can visit this portal to find the information they’re looking for,” Lawrence added. “We even recommend they visit FATV before coming in to register so that they’ll have a general idea of what assistance is out there and how to apply for it.”
