Here's a Q&A with Elizabeth:

Q1) What motivates you to continue and excel at SCC in spite of circumstances you may face?
A1)  I have worked so hard to get to where I am in my life. I am really proud of the person that I have become. I have been through quite a bit but I know that I can't give up. I need to do the best that I can, even when things don't go my way. I want to be the best that I can be. I want to use what I have been through to help others who are going through similar things. I know that if I continue with my education that I have the potential to save lives.  That alone is what motivates me.

Q2) What advice would you give to future students who might face similar situations?
A2) Life is not always fair. It will at some point or another tear you down. What will separate you from the rest is your desire to get back up. Success is not something that is going to be handed to you. You have to fight for what you want. Don't let others hold you back, physically and emotionally. Don't hold on to grudges. The only thing they will do is rip you apart. Forgiveness is the key to a happy and successful life. Air is something that we all take for granted yet it is something that we cannot live without. We need it. When you can't breathe there is nothing else you want more than air. Success is as simple as that. When you want something as bad you want to breathe you will always succeed.
