Cashiers Rotary donates $3,000 to Foundation

On behalf of the Cashiers Valley Rotary Club, Jim Zoller (right) presents a $2,500 check to Dr. Don Tomas Southwestern Community College president. The money will go toward SCC’s Student Success Campaign, the most ambitious fundraising effort in Southwestern’s history. The Student Success Campaign aims to close the gap between scholarship need and availability by raising more than $1 million through the community’s generosity and with the help of a federal challenge grant that matches every dollar (up to $300,000) donated before Sept. 1. For more information about the SCC Foundation and the Student Success Campaign, contact Kathy Posey at 828.339.4227 or k_posey@southwesterncc.edu.
