Who can have a test proctored?
Proctored testing is available for students not enrolled at SCC. Some students may be dual enrolled students meaning they are taking courses at SCC and another institution. We can proctor the tests for non-SCC courses.
What tests can you administer?
We will give tests in almost any format as per the requirements of the test. We can provide the proctor service for paper/pencil test, computer-based testing and web-based tests.
How much is charged for the proctoring service?
For non-SCC students the cost is $25 per test. For alumni and former SCC students the cost is $10 per test. These fees are payable by credit, cash, check or money order to the Cashier’s Office / SCC Business Office located in the Balsam Building on the Jackson Campus or the Groves Center on the Macon Campus.
What if the student does not show up for a test reservation?
No testing charges will be refunded, once a reservation is confirmed with payment. A student can only reschedule a test one time for no additional fee and if he/she does not take a test, the testing fee is forfeited.
What are the guidelines for test proctoring at SCC?
Students taking a test proctored by SCC must: present valid photo identification and must provide any allowable equipment and materials required for the test. A proctor will monitor the student at all times. All testing guidelines provided to the testing proctor by the requesting institution will be followed.
