This course introduces students to artificial intelligence prompting. Topics include defining the prompt task, providing sufficient context, specifying the desired format, and setting the appropriate voice or persona going into core techniques like zero-shot, few-shot, and Chain-of-Thought (CoT) prompting. Upon completion, students should be able to design, refine, and test sophisticated prompts for various AI models to reliably achieve desired outcomes while understanding the ethical considerations.
