Medical assisting holds pinning ceremony

Five graduates of Southwestern Community College’s medical assisting program were honored during a Dec. 13 pinning ceremony at the Jackson Campus.

Students honored during the ceremony include Charlene Albright of Franklin; Amanda Bewick, Otto; Jennifer Pendergrass, Franklin; Chelsie Whitted, Waynesville; and Chavis Wright, Bryson City.

All graduates are eligible to take the national AAMA certification examination to become a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
