During the Spring Induction Ceremony on the Jackson Campus on Tuesday, April 2, twenty new members were inducted into Southwestern Community College’s Alpha Beta Gamma (ABG) International Business Honor Society.
The spring 2013 ceremony inducting new members into the Southwestern Community College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society was held Monday, April 4, in the Norman K. Myers Auditorium, Balsam Center on the Jackson Campus.
March 9, 2013 five students enrolled in Southwestern Community College’s Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) degree program attended a FUNFitness event in Charlotte, NC, sponsored by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Special Olympics, Inc. (SOI).
On Monday March 4, 2013 the Jackson County Board of Commissioners voted to officially adopt a new flag for Jackson County.
On February 21, 2013, a ceremony was held on the Jackson Campus of Southwestern Community College to honor the most recent GED and Adult High School graduates. Dr. Don Tomas, SCC College President, congratulated the students and handed out certificates.
