High School/High School Equivalency/Adult High School Diploma Transcripts:
Students entering diploma and degree programs as well as most certificate programs must submit an official high school transcript or an official high school equivalency transcript to the Registrar’s Office as part of the enrollment process.

High School Transcripts:
Students should contact their high school to request that an official transcript be sent to the Registrar’s Office.

High school transcripts may be submitted in the following ways:
  • Mailed directly to SCC by the high school.
  • Submitted electronically using a secure third-party sender such as Parchment, DiplomaSender, NeedMyTranscript or CFNC.
  • Hand-delivered by the student. The transcript must arrive at SCC in the original sealed envelope.
High School Equivalency Transcripts (GED, HiSET and TASC):
Students who completed a High School Equivalency Diploma in North Carolina will need to request an official transcript online at DiplomaSender.com.

For diplomas obtained in other states, please refer to the transcript request information provided by that state.

Adult High School Diploma Transcripts:
Students who completed an Adult High School Diploma will need to request a transcript from the institution at which the diploma was received.
Please note that transcripts that are faxed, emailed by the student or arrive at SCC in an opened envelope will not be considered official.  All transcripts from other institutions become the property of Southwestern Community College and cannot be returned or reissued.

College Transcripts:
Applicants to degree, diploma or certificate programs who want credit for coursework completed at other post-secondary institutions are responsible for having an official transcript from each institution submitted to the Registrar’s Office. Official transcripts may also be needed in order to demonstrate course prerequisite completion.

Courses with a grade of “C” or higher may be accepted if the courses are applicable to the program selected at this college and were earned at a regionally accredited college, university, community college or technical institute.

College transcripts may be submitted in the following ways:
  • Mailed directly to SCC by the institution.
  • Submitted electronically using a secure third-party sender such as the National Student Clearinghouse, Parchment or eSCRIP-SAFE.
  • Hand-delivered by the student. The transcript must arrive at SCC in the original sealed envelope.
Please note that transcripts that are faxed, emailed by the student or arrive at SCC in an opened envelope will not be considered official.  All transcripts from other institutions become the property of Southwestern Community College and cannot be returned or reissued.
