√ Answer: As SCC works towards accessibility in online materials in Moodle, you have many resources at your disposal. Making materials more accessible includes (but is not limited to) adding alternative text to images, ensuring that tables in documents can be easily read by assistive software, and using high contrast text. Here are some resources you may find helpful:
- Our new Accessibility Resource Course: This course helps faculty prepare for the accessibility expectations of the Course Readiness Review (for online and hybrid courses) and includes resources to update materials to meet the expectations of the CRR Checklist.
- "Preparing My Course to be Taught Online or Hybrid: Accessibility" Video: This video will walk you through the accessibility requirements of the Course Readiness Review and give you some good tips.
- Working with Documents & PDFs - Issues & Solutions: This document will walk you through how to update different types of documents to improve accessibility.
