Over the summer, Southwestern Community College’s Small Business Center will once again be  offering an entrepreneurship camp for local youth.

Be a TREP! is an opportunity for rising sixth through ninth graders who have an interest in  entrepreneurship to practice and grow their skills, learning how to turn a passion into a business.  Participants will learn from local entrepreneurs, make new friends, create and develop business ideas in a fun environment and pitch those ideas to a panel of judges.

“This camp really offers a unique opportunity for young minds to learn about starting and running a small business,” said Southwestern’s Small Business Center Director, Marne Harris. “Fostering entrepreneurship in our youth is crucial for their personal growth and the future of our community. These young entrepreneurs will gain insights and inspiration that will serve them for years to come.”

The summer camp will take place from 9 am - 3 pm on July 20 on Southwestern’s Jackson Campus. Registration is $50 and is due by July 10.
