Jonah Caplinger’s exhibit on water desalination won grand prize at Southwestern Community College’s science fair last fall.
Caplinger’s entry also won first prize in the application category.
Other category winners were Cindy Navarro (research) for her exhibit on “Invisalign” and Emily French (experimental) for her display on the mechanics of teeterboard propulsion in gymnastic activities.
All first place winners received $100; Caplinger got another $100 as grand prize winner.
