Medical assisting program holds pinning ceremony

Five graduates of Southwestern Community College’s medical assisting program were honored during a May 9 pinning ceremony at the Jackson Campus.

Students honored during the ceremony include Makayla Chastain of Tuckasegee; Melissa Humphrey, Bryson City; Jessica Lokerson, Canton; Jessica Swanger, Sylva; and December 2016 graduate Michael Collins, Robbinsville.

All graduates are eligible to take the national AAMA certification examination to become a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
