Southwestern Community College recently became an authorized HiSET® Testing Center, which allows SCC to offer high school equivalency exams at the most-affordable rate on the market.

SCC is now offering the HiSET® exam as a paper-based option in Jackson and Macon Counties. There are five individual tests, each costing $15.

Additionally, SCC continues to offer Pearson Vue computer-based testing as well as GED preparatory classes and a wide variety of Educational Opportunities programs.

“We’re excited about being able to offer this new option for anyone in our service area who needs to achieve their high school equivalency,” said Devonne Jimison, SCC’s coordinator of high school equivalency testing/literacy instructor.

For information about the HiSET® testing and SCC’s other Educational Opportunities programs, contact Jimison at 828.339.4486 or devonnej@southwesterncc.edu.
