Q) What motivates you to continue and excel at SCC in spite of circumstances you may face?
A)
What motivates me to continue and excel at SCC is ultimately my children. I know that if I do not do my best I am not only letting myself down but I am letting them down. My parents never made it to college. I want to provide a better future for myself and my family. I think that education is very important and without it you may not be a successful. SCC has allowed me to obtain my credits on my time. This has been helpful as I have had to space out my classes. No matter what comes in my way I will someday be a well-educated, successful woman. I want my children to know they can do anything they set their minds to.

Q) What advice would you give to future students who might face similar situations?
A)
My advice for future students who may face similar situations as I have is to never give up! No matter how tough things get, the tough keep going. Nothing can come in the way of something you truly want. If you push through you can do it. I have had to take online classes for the past year so that I would keep taking classes. It’s not what I want to do and it’s hard work, but it is something I have had to do in order to keep on my graduation track.
