Description: Plagiarism can be one of the most frustrating aspects of using writing in the classroom. However, you and your students have access to an easy-to-use tool that not only helps to reduce the occurrence of plagiarism, but it also helps to teach students what plagiarism is. In this workshop, we will show you how to use the Blackboard component, SafeAssign. We will also address ways of designing writing assignments so that students are encouraged to use their own words and to integrate source material in correct ways.
