Q1) What motivates you to continue and excel at SCC in spite of circumstances you may face?
A1) SCC is a wonderful college and everyone here, including the students, are super supportive! Initially I was doubtful to become a college student, because I am 51 years old and I had fear of the unknown, but inside my mind, and with the support of my kids, I was ready to face the challenges and make some adjustments in my routine so that I could create my dream and dedicate my time in achieving the skills I'm passionate about. With that said, in my experience overall, I am happy being a student at SCC and designing the newest chapter in my life!

Q2) What advice would you give to future students who might face similar situations?
A2) Learning a skill in college is a treasured privileged and it is the open window of opportunity that awaits in the horizon. It is never too late to discover and shine on a dream you want to come true. Be optimistic, mindful, work hard, play later and truly devote yourself to college 100%, because you have all the power to do what you truly wish to become. The mind is a terrible thing to waste and with your will of determination, takes dedication, and dedication takes determination. Always remember that and never allow anyone or anything take that from you. So, if you are thinking of a career, then take the leap on the SCC path and be the best you can be at creating your colorful future.
