Q1) What motivates you to continue and excel at SCC in spite of circumstances you may face?
A1) My motivation to excel at SCC is my family. I work hard for my children, Moke andMarijane. I want them to understand the importance of a seeking out quality education, and I want them to recognize that hard work does pay off. I also want them to believe in themselves, and excel in whatever they choose to do in life. This is what keeps me motivated to do my best. I never thought I would do so well in college. I would not be where I am without my wife Monica and her loving support. RTR
Q2) What advice would you give to future students who might face similar situations?
A2) My advice to future student is never give up. Times may get difficult, but there is help if you need it. Rely on SCC's support systems if you need them. SCC believes in you and wants you to succeed, so believe in yourself. Try not to get discouraged and remember hard work and new experiences build character.
