Over the next month, Southwestern Community College’s Career Services will be holding two major job fairs and partnering with the Undergraduate Transfer Advising Center (UTAC) to combine one with the annual college transfer fair.
The program supports area high school students by providing career exploration and advising. Project SHIFT aims to tackle the region’s healthcare workforce shortages by uniting area high schools, healthcare providers and nonprofit agencies.
The vehicle was funded through an investment by the Duke Energy Foundation, and Air Man Heating & Air in Dillsboro allowed SCC students and instructors to use their loading dock

Partners include the Southwestern Commission, RezHOPE Recovery and Consulting Services, the International Friendship Center and Jackson County Economic Development.
