SCC Retest Policy - Effective 03.01.2025
The EdReady Placement Test is valid for ten calendar years. During this time period, students required to take the placement test may retake each test part one time.
Students who graduated from a US high school, received an Adult High School Diploma, received a GED in 2014 or later or received a HiSET diploma are not required to take the placement test but may opt to take the EdReady Placement Test once per part to improve course placement if desired.
A minimum of two weeks is required between the initial test and the retest to allow time for review of the testing material and completion of the required Study Pathway.
This policy will also apply to all test scores submitted from other institutions.
